Today (November 1) is National Author’s Day. To celebrate, I’d like to introduce you to a few of my favorite paranormal authors. (Don’t stress, I’ll introduce you to my favorite contemporary authors later this month.)
I love Sara, and everything she writes. She does it all, but she has a special skill for vampires. Hot, sexy m/m vampires, quirky newbie vampires with a weight problem and snarktastic best friends, she’s got it all. Vampires may be an overdone trope, but nobody does them better than Sara. The second in her Escape trilogy just came out, and I can’t wait to devour it.
I featured Em on this blog the other day and she’s just amazing. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, her world building skills are second to none. No, really. You’ll have to read Blackbird Summer and then come back and fight me. She’s one of the best paranormal writers I’ve come across, and I read a lot of paranormal.
I have yet to read a Wendy thing that I didn’t like. She’s not a one-trick pony, she also writes contemporary romance. Another one who uses snark and pop culture, it’s easy to see why I love her. She’s got a holiday novella series about Father Time’s sons that’s great. Also, she’s released a YA under the name Wendy Laine that is so amazing. I was one of the first people to read early drafts of that one and I loved it. She has the most amazing sense of humor and is also one of the nicest people on the planet.
I feel obligated to mention that all three of these fabulous authors have an entire series out called Enchanted. It’s a complete coincidence that they were all in these books together and that they are my favorites, but I am not complaining.
I’m always looking for new paranormal authors, so drop some of your favorites in the comments. (I do apologize for the post full of links. But I want to make it easy for you to find all of these books I love so you can love them too.)
